The PRESENCE conferences provide a relaxed and enjoyable forum for presentation of presence scholarship and applications and (especially in the planned format this year), discussion sessions that allow attendees to join together in synthesizing and expanding our collective knowledge and visions for the future regarding this compelling topic.
BrightCom will be demonstrating their integrated telepresence system the L37, a modular telepresence workstation for 2 to 6 people to instantly connect and collaborate. The solution places users in a fully immersed environment, allowing their colleagues, customers and partners in other places look and feel as though they are in the same room. BrightCom will also be displaying the ClearView 1052 Mobile Video Conferencing.
Several keynote speakers are scheduled to discuss different aspects of telepresence and its role in today’s society. Speakers include Barbara Hayes-Roth, an internationally recognized expert in intelligent agents and interactive characters, Howard Lichtman, founder and President of the Human Productivity Lab, an independent research consultancy that advises organizations looking to invest in telepresence technologies and Albert “Skip” Rizzo, Research Scientist and Research Professor at the Institute for Creative Technologies and Department of Psychiatry/School of Gerontology at the University of Southern California.
