Officials from a Huntington Beach, Calif-based provider of integrated video conferencing and telepresence solutions said companies are bringing the technology to more board rooms in the wake of rising gas prices
BrightCom officials said they have seen an uptick in the number of clients implementing telepresence and video conferencing technology, that simulates face-to-face meetings. One reason clients cite for an increase in implementation is increasing fuel costs. The solution uses a group of technologies, including HD audio, HD video cameras, Web based software and immersive environmental furnishing to create the feeling that people are in the same room when, in reality, they could be hundreds of miles away.
